Inheritance and Military Service
It is generally agreed that receiving money without working for it is bad for a person. This is usually said about welfare, but could also be noted about inheritances.
At the same time, we also should be aware that many of those who have the greatest wealth in this country never will serve to protect it, always letting someone else take the risk.
There should be a limit (e.g., $500,000) or major tax set on the amount of wealth any individual can inherit unless that person has served at least two years in the U.S. military.
After all, we don’t want the Children of Privilege to be the drones of our society.
