Big Brother and the National ID Card

Americans once again are ready to sacrifice their personal freedom and constitutional rights, this time to the perceived threats of religious radicalism and illegal immigration.

One of the ideas that will be promoted will be to have a National Identity Card. But there is a practical question that must be answered first.

When Big Brother demands our ID number, will we answer “Slave Number XXXX” or “Prisoner Number XXXX”?
