Israel and Palestine

We will have no peace in the Middle East until Israel and the Palestinians reach an accommodation.
Israel says that it will not recognize a Palestinian state until Israel is no longer being attacked by the Palestinians. Hamas in the Gaza Strip helps the Israeli hardliners by continuing the attacks.
But there are no attacks coming from the West Bank where Fatah is in charge. If Israel were true to its word, it would recognize the West Bank government and respect it as a separate state.
The one thing that the West Bank/Fatah government must have is for Israel to remove those Israelis who have colonized the West Bank. These are not settlements, because the colonies are wholly dependent on the mother country, Israel, for all aspects of their existence.
Once Israel has shown good faith with the West Bank, then Hamas in Gaza will be revealed as the international outlaw that it is, as it will continue attacking Israel rather than make peace.
The United States should guide the Israelis along this plan for peace. As a friend, the U.S. must not allow Israel to continue this perpetual practice of harming itself.
