Liability for Lying

Pres. Bill Clinton lied about a tawdry little backroom affair where no one got hurt.
Pres. George W. Bush lied to get us into a war in Iraq, a war that has cost over 1600 American lives.
Those who supported the impeachment of Pres. Clinton must now demand the impeachment of Pres. George W. Bush. To do otherwise is to belittle the sacrifice of our soldiers' lives in Iraq.

As to the argument that we will never get a less-than-honorable Republican majority in the House to actually look into impeachment – with that I must agree.
But there is an alternative to bring some justice into the situation.
Pres. Bush’s lying has directly led to the deaths of over 1600 military personnel. He is both culpable and liable.
If any family members of those deceased want to pursue a civil case for wrongful death, then they have cause for action. They could begin discovery proceedings, using subpoenas and depositions, and start uncovering the truth.
This is the conjecture of a non-lawyer, but there appears to be precedent for this approach.
